Five years after graduation, I returned to my alma mater as the Associate Director of Marketing for its alumni association, where I developed the brand voice of an esteemed alumni network that includes the likes of President Barack Obama, actress and producer Maggie Gyllenhaal, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, New York Times journalist Jodi Kantor, and 50,000+ other former Columbia undergrads.

Over the span of nearly two years, I wore many hats in this role: content author and developer, campus photographer, social media and community manager, video producer, print designer, digital ads buyerUX writer, email developer and Google Analytics manager. Below are samples of my work.

Long-form writing from Columbia College's campaign website:

It's hard to believe that Columbia was the last of the Ivy League schools to admit women. The first fully coed class at the College graduated in 1987, and in spring 2017, the Columbia College Alumni Association celebrated the 30th anniversary of this historic event with an all-day women's symposium that brought more than 300 alumnae and students together on campus for the very first time.

Last August, Columbia's Class of 2021 roared through the College Walk gates at West 116th and Broadway for the first time as Columbia students. Young alumni, staff and students were on-site to cheer them on — and the alumni association had a film crew ready to capture the excitement.

Writing for Columbia's Odyssey Mentoring Program (public links here), which launched in fall 2017 and gained over a thousand members in its initial cycle, as well as writing for Columbia's Alumni Representative Committee (public), which is responsible for assigning alumni to interview the 30,000+ undergraduate applicants Columbia receives each year.
